Privacy policy
Effective from 28 September 2026
This page explains what personal data I receive through the MyCzechHome website, what I use it for, who I share it with and how long I keep it. I have kept it short and free of legal jargon.
Who processes your data
The controller is Aleš Kocián, operator of the MyCzechHome website.

Please use this e-mail for anything related to your data.
The “Connect me with a specialist” form
What data: your name, phone, e-mail, region, language, topic and the message you write.
What for: to put you in touch with a mortgage specialist who will contact you about your mortgage.
Legal basis: your consent, given by ticking the box in the form (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Who I share it with: one partner mortgage specialist in Prague or Moravia, depending on where you are buying. The specialist is authorised to arrange loans under Czech law and processes your data further as an independent controller. I will tell you the specialist's name on request.
How long: I keep it for no more than 12 months after you submit the form, then I delete it. If you withdraw your consent earlier, I delete it straight away.
Signing up for courses
What data: your e-mail.
What for: to let you know when the courses start in 2027. I won't send you anything else.
Legal basis: your consent, given by submitting your e-mail (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Who I share it with: no one.
How long: until the courses start, at the latest until 31 December 2027, or until you unsubscribe.
Fixed-rate reminder
What data: your e-mail, your phone if you provide it, and the month your fixed rate ends.
What for: to get in touch with you six months before your fixed rate ends. I only pass your contact to a colleague if you ask me to.
Legal basis: your consent, given by ticking the box (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
How long: until the end of the month after your fixed rate ends, at most 10 years. Then the data is deleted automatically.
News by e-mail
What data: your e-mail.
What for: to send you news about mortgages and money, at most once a month.
Legal basis: your consent, given by ticking a separate box when signing up for courses or the fixed-rate reminder (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Without that tick I don't send you any news.
Who I share it with: no one.
How long: until you unsubscribe, at most 3 years from signing up. You can unsubscribe by replying to any e-mail or writing to ales@myczechhome.cz.
Who helps me run the website
The website runs on servers provided by Cloudflare, and e-mails go through my e-mail provider. Both only transmit or store your data for technical purposes and may not use it for themselves. Cloudflare may also process data in the USA under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
The website font is loaded from Google Fonts. When it loads, your browser shares its IP address with Google.
The website does not use tracking cookies or visitor analytics.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- know what data I hold about you and get a copy,
- have it corrected if it is wrong,
- have it deleted,
- restrict its processing,
- receive it in a machine-readable format and pass it on to someone else,
- withdraw your consent at any time by writing to ales@myczechhome.cz. This does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.
I will reply within one month at the latest.
If you believe I am handling your data incorrectly, you can complain to the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7, uoou.gov.cz.
Anything else
Providing your data is voluntary. Without your contact details, however, I cannot connect you with a specialist. I make no automated decisions about you and do no profiling.
